The purpose of this emergency response guide is to provide immediate general information and advice to persons handling dangerous goods emergencies. While written principally for trained emergency responders, it also contains advice which anyone, who is first on the scene of an incident, should be able to follow.

 

The handbook details information on hazards, protective clothing and emergency procedures and may also be used with the transport or storage of dangerous goods as listed in the 7th edition of the ADG Code and the 16th edition of the UN ‘Orange book’.

 

The lists of UN Numbers and Shipping names correspond with those in the above-mentioned documents, and are referenced to the appropriate emergency response guides.
