Underground warning tape

Underground warning tape brings buried services or mains pipes to the attention of contractors who are working on a site. This marking tape is buried above underground services to provide visual warning during subsequent excavations.

This type of tape is available as either non-detectable or detectable tapes (with a thin wire running through the length of the tape) and manufactured in bright colours to ensure maximum visibility.

Underground tapes are also known as detectable warning tapes, detectable mesh tapes, underground hazard tapes and underground marker tapes.
